Booking is quick and easy! Just choose your tour date and the number of guests on our website, complete the secure online payment, and you’ll immediately receive a confirmation email. This email includes the meeting point, tour time, and a little sneak peek of what’s coming. Since our tours are intimate and small, we recommend booking as early as possible — spots often sell out weeks in advance, especially during peak tourist season.

Yes! If you prefer to pay in cash, we can accommodate that, but we require a small deposit paid online to reserve your spot. This ensures your place on the tour while allowing you to pay the rest in cash on the day. We recommend paying the deposit as early as possible since our tours are small and fill up fast!
-
Absolutely! Our gift vouchers are perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, or “just because” treats for friends and family. They can be used for any of our tours, and we can even send them digitally for last-minute surprises.

Most tours last 3–4 hours, giving you plenty of time to taste, explore, and hear stories behind every bite. We walk about 2–3 kilometers, weaving through colorful streets, bustling markets, and hidden corners that most tourists never see. There are frequent food and drink stops, so you’ll never feel rushed — it’s more about savoring the experience than racing through it.
-
We intentionally keep our groups small so typically between 5-7 so every guest gets personalized attention from the guide, can ask questions, and enjoy conversations with fellow food lovers. Small groups also allow us to go to hidden gems that larger tours can’t access.
-
Exact starting locations are shared after booking to keep our tours intimate and avoid crowds at popular tourist spots. Most of our tours begin in central neighborhoods like Kadıköy, Galata, or Karaköy, giving you access to some of Istanbul’s most historic and flavorful streets. We end near the final tasting spot, often a cozy cafe or market stall, so you can linger, take photos, or grab extra treats.
-
Tours run rain or shine, so a little rain won’t cancel your experience. If the weather is wet, we adjust the route to include covered streets, indoor stops, and cozy cafes whenever possible. We recommend bringing a light raincoat or umbrella to stay comfortable. In the unlikely event of severe weather that makes walking unsafe, we will contact you in advance to reschedule or offer a full refund.

Expect a curated journey of authentic Istanbul flavors. From centuries-old street snacks like simit and roasted chestnuts to family-run baklava shops and hidden meyhanes (traditional taverns), you’ll taste dishes you might never discover on your own. Our guides share historical tidbits, cultural stories, and local secrets behind each food stop, so every bite comes with context and flavor.

Yes! Traditional Turkish tea, strong coffee, ayran (yogurt drink), and sometimes local wines or raki are included depending on the tour. Alcohol is optional — just let us know your preference, and we’ll make sure every tasting works for you.

Tours are conducted in English, but our guides are bilingual and can provide basic translations or explanations in Turkish if needed. Beyond language, our guides aim to immerse you in local culture, slang, and humor, so you feel like a local rather than a tourist.

We know that Istanbul’s traffic and busy streets can be unpredictable, so we try to be flexible with start times. Generally, we can accommodate a 5–10 minute delay without disrupting the tour. However, since our tours are small and immersive, arriving late may mean missing part of the experience, including some tastings and stories.
If you think you might be more than 10 minutes late, please contact us as soon as possible — we can advise whether it’s better to reschedule or, in some cases, adjust the meeting point so you can join without missing key parts. To make things easier, we always send detailed meeting instructions and travel tips in your confirmation email, so you can plan your route and arrival time ahead of the tour.

All tastings are included in your ticket.
